MSI and EKWB bring us a collaboration using the well-received MPG X570S Carbon MAX WiFi fitted with an EK-Quantum monoblock designed for the motherboard. Featuring a powerful 14+2 VRM, it also has the latest technology the X570S chipset has to offer with four M.2 sockets, 2.5 GB LAN, and eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports.

Can I just say fuck monoblocks? The last mobo's I blocked up was an x58 and before that a Striker Extreme. Both which chipsets that ran hot as all hell. Why are we doing this again? Just block the CPU.

Idk, seems to work quite well with this board. I wish EK would just sell the block.

Why is there a PS2 port on this motherboard?
This board is not targeted towards an audience who needs to inquire why there is a PS2 port on it.

The correct question is, "where the hell are my PCIe slots and why are they all M.2?"

8+4 pin CPU power confuses me, just commit to the full 8+8 or just 1x8 pin. In what situation is an 8+4 pin necessary, but 8+8 overkill, and 1x8 underkill?

Maybe I missed it, but I still have no idea how the monoblock actually performs for this CPU. Obviously it works well for the VRM, but I don't see what the CPU temp was actually at.

You didn't miss it because it isn't there. Good observation though.

The question becomes if it would be helpful to know? Since it isn't directly comparable to any other CPU, whatever the temp was, would need to be compared to a AIO, Air-Cooler and another waterblock from my setup. Not impossible to do, just wasn't thought of. If it helps, The CPU temperatures didn't seem out of the ordinary for a waterblock.

In my opinion, I'd want to see temperatures even with nothing to compare to.

Configurations will always be different especially for custom loops, CPU samples can differ greatly. But it would be nice to ensure the CPU portion of the WB at least does what it's supposed to. It's 90% of the reason to buy this specific motherboard.

Makes sense. I'll do what I can next time. Appreciate the feedback.
