Our first review from MOONDROP is the all-new KATO in-ear monitors. It debuts a new ultra-low distortion dynamic driver setup built on the KXXS as the base, and we examine it with the Kinera Leyding upgrade cable that offers modular plug connectivity options.

What are you looking to achieve with an upgraded cable?

I mostly listen to jpop/rock. In some tracks, it becomes unbearable spikes that i cant even listen. Wishing that could be changed or should i just change the source? I use sony NW A55.

That seems like you want to tone down the treble response slightly, which I'd suggest doing with EQ first to make sure that is what you want. It can be done for free using mobile apps or something like Equalizer APO on the PC. Once you confirm that is it, then you can consider maybe a source that has EQ options such as the Qudelix-5K connected to your phone itself.
