The Neo Forza NFP455 is the company's first PCI-Express 4.0 SSD. The combination of Innogrit IG5236 controller, 128-layer YMTC flash, and fast 3200 MHz DRAM achieves excellent benchmark results. What's even more impressive is pricing. At $295, it's one of the most affordable 2 TB high-performance PCIe 4.0 SSDs out there.

almost sane pricing ... almost.
I was able to pick up 1TB S70 for $135 about a month ago. S70 blade was even cheaper at $130. I figured $5 for heafty heatsink was worth it. The new firmaware from the S70 Blade is not available through XPS app but I was able to source a direct link to Adata servers on the interwebs. FW was labeled for the blade drive but worked just fine on the proper heatsink verstion too. But yeah I consider $130 for top of the line performance seems reasonable to me.

yeah, not too bad but given how little 4.0 matters in realworld usage i kinda dont see a point, not when you can have a sn570 at $90/tb and the difference'd be all but unnoticeable

(then again, i spent $120 on an optane, soXD)

Compared to $90 WD Blue you are probably right, but you can make that comparison with just about every NVMe out there, including PCIE3.0 ones. WD Blue are very aggresively priced. But similar performing 3.0 like Sammy 980 is ~$120. At this point, $10-15 extra on a 4.0 drive is a reasonable ask.

The build quality had better be problem free, unlike the set of DDR4 I got from them whereby the HS fell off the next day while stability testing! not that it prevents them being used.

I just can't see spending this kind of money on a drive that is essentially warranty-less (or "warranty on a prayer") when you go with a no-name brand. Why wouldn't anyone spending this kind of money just go on and pony up for the bit more to get them proven warranties? I mean, it's one thing when you're sent the drive for review and have a direct line to the company's marketing. It's another when you're just some guy having bought the drive from Amazon/Newegg and you're contacting them...
