Corsair iCUE 5000T RGB Case

The iCUE 5000T RGB is Corsair's latest attempt at including their cases in the iCUE software ecosystem. The goal here is to deliver a cohesive integration similar to using a Corsair mouse or keyboard with iCUE support. This aspect and that it is based on the same frame as the 5000D make for an interesting premise.

For $400 exluding tax the 6 included velcro strips don't cut it, they should have included a 3-bedroom house with 1 year free electricity.

$400 for a PC case? I don't believe corsair and I share the same definition of "smart"

What we actually want are affordable micro atx and mini ITX versions of the 4000d. This is what we get instead. Gross.

I worked on a Corsair 5000X with the same internal layout. Everything is OK till you put the hard drives and power supply in. Even if you could shift the hard drive cage a little further towards the front of the case. It still didnt leave a whole lot of room for thick cables

Yep, the 140mm on the rear is really bugging me. I know not a lot of people buy 140mm AIOs, but they do exist and the cases that support 140 on the back are like unicorns.....

Can you plug RGB directly into mother board RGB header with a supplied adapter cable?
9 fans in total does it come with dust filters for all?

Temps look ok but not great and I'm not sure how I'd feel about doing a water build in it. Lancool 3 looking like a better option for a lot less.

For that kind of money, they were obligated to make both panels of tempered glass like Evolv X.
Without support for 140mm fans front and rear, this case is meaningless

The first images honestly had me done completely.
Why does it look like a giant honking huge case, with tiny fans installed? It reminds me of the first gen HDTV's that were all bezel, and barely any actual display.

This just upsets my OCD 15 different ways, with things not being centered, not using the space correctly, and overall just being daft.
It fits either 2x140 or 3x120, meaning that neither has a proper alignment. If it's made for these 120mm fans in particular? Put a goddamn shroud or cover in, so there isnt just outright gaping holes around the fans

At this price point, when its designed exclusively for these fans: it better be actually goddamn designed to perfection with them.

The front of the case is huge. It's tall and wide.
And then they use the center of it, leaving the rest as... what? passive airflow intake? Why is it not 3x140 or 4x120, or simply a better fit?

every fractal i've seen and used has a 140mm rear exhaust, if that helps you



Darksaber, maybe i went blind but is there closeups of that chunky-ass front panel, once removed? (inside view of it)

I wanna know where those big vents on the side go, since they seem to be of zero use to feed air into the fans at all (or at worst, just bypass the dust filter)

The price just has me angry, it's big and chunky but doesnt use that space for anything. Why not have 3x140mm ARGB goodness intakes to actually FILL that space, 3x120mm side AIO/water exhaust, and then the top and rear for more standard exhausts or noise isolating with a sound absorbing top ala fractal

i mean, a $400 case's screaming scam basically anyways, you could make a gold-plated version of the 4000d or something at that price point and you'd still be hardpressed to justify it
and this def isnt one of those weird niche/innovation cases that'd justify such a price tag

It's Corsair (С), they sell senseless LT100 lights for 130$....+ poor quality products, all Corsair products had defects of one kind or another.
