The IntelliMouse Optical is one of Microsoft's most beloved designs. With the Katana, Ninjutso aims to recreate this classic shape, albeit at a weight of no more than 57 g, and equipped with PixArt's PMW3389, Kailh GM 8.0 switches for the main buttons, and a flexible, braided cable.

The Origin seems like a better purchase if you want a big mouse... both suffer from the Kailh 8.0 issues, though.

The Origin X isn't big, it's Medium sized at best (I'd put it Medium to Small in fact), it's basically a miniature IME3.0 sadly.
Hopefully we get some more replicas of older mice from other companies.

My dream would be a light, wireless MX518 clone (but not miniaturized like the recent IME3.0 clones), we are in dire need of actually large mice (~130mm).

Compared to the average mouse of today, it's big though. The relative honeycomb of the modern day is just small, most mice on the market aren't as big as they used to be.

It's 122mm and it has the same volume as a GPX: https://www.rtings.com/mouse/reviews/ninjutso/origin-one-x
It's a medium sized mouse.

Big would be something like the Corsair Sabre, but you are correct that sadly a lot of mice nowadays are exceedingly small, which makes them unusable for any kind of palm grip if you have larger hands.
Not sure why that is, maybe they're all trying to hit those small weight numbers for marketing purposes.
