Great performance, great price, even in third world hellholes like mine.
The performance difference with the 224-XT could very well just be the second fan. Still, the extra heatpipe seems to help the monolithic Intel design a bit more, so it's a good tradeoff.

Essentially if you dont care about looks a 224 will get you by. However if you want a tiny bit of extra headroom and better looks the 225 fits the bill nicely.

Its to bad its availability is limited to certain parts of the world.
They only way to get one of these here is to import, not a practical option has the finally cost will get you a much higher tier locally available cooler.

I have the 224 XT ARGB V3 single fan version and I was pleasantly surprised for the price. 'I actually prefer this look over the 225'

ID is also easily available where I live, when I bought this cooler I did not have many options in the budget range for Alder lake but I have no complaints in overall.
Originally I did not want a tower cooler for aesthetic reasons but this 224 is still fine, not too overkill brick sized thing. 'not a fan of those'

Respectable results, personally I would always shell out that few bucks more for the noctua NH-U12 but I admit to being a bit of a noctua fanboy.

I think it's a bit less than that. I quote from page 2 of the review

ID-Cooling lists the weight of the cooler and all accessories; thus, the listed 1200 g is not representative of the cooler's actual weight with fans.

I disagree. I can not justify $43.00 for something like that. Especially knowing that the quality of material these days being used in creating components are at a sharp decline. There are reasons why I have on stock the "Old versions" of the Hyper T2 and the EVO as well as brand new Cases of the Corsair Carbide 500r and 400r.

The quality of material is just not there for these over inflated prices are now the norm.

Without going into economic-socio-political specifics, it's trash when viewed from a hardware standpoint.
GPUs are cheaper now, but displays, cases, storage, peripherals, coolers, anything else outside of the basic core components costs double or more.

I understand you but here in Europe it is also at least 20% higher prices than the usual MSRP levels in the USA.
