Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: FSR 2.0 Community Patch

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy recently got support for AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 through a community mod. The addon converts the officially supported DLSS render path into instructions the AMD FSR 2.0 algorithm understands, and results are excellent.

Although is difficult for me to see the differences and compare (I only use my phone) I can't but appreciate the hard work that you putting, too many comparison articles!

Well you gain 20 fps going from Native to FSR 2.0, and the difference is really hard to notice, so that means 20 fps gained is 20 fps gained. :love:

edit: 18 fps, my math was off, but point still stands

It's awesome to see so many community patches for FSR 2.0, I think it really speaks for the future of the technology, but it would be even better if companies got off their asses and added official support instead of relying on the community to do their jobs for them

What I've noticed in these comparisons is that ghosting seems to be an issue for all the community patches so far. If the developers are trying to fix that before releasing official FSR 2.0 support, I'd say that's worth the wait.

I wonder if the ghosting would be negated if one owns a OLED monitor? 0.1 ms latency... not sure if that applies or not in a situation like this

Nope, I can assure you that an OLED does not help the least :laugh:

, its an Artifact from the FSR Mod itself.

Indeed, tried more than one myself, the ghosting and drawbacks are not favorable.

But for someone who has no access to DLSS I'm sure the visual drawbacks are likely acceptable against the gained performance.

If FSR fixed this biggest glaring issue, along with occlusion artifacts (basically catch up to DLSS 2.4+) I'd drop DLSS like a hot back of turds. Again, people without will rejoice, but I won't rejoice worse results just yet, I'm used to better.

I noticed in the video that FSR 2.0 sometimes has a higher FPS than DLSS in the locked video side by side.

Hmm followed the article but the DLSS option is still greyed out. Even reboot after the EnableReg bit.
