Essentially, the Aerox 9 Wireless is the MMO edition of the Aerox 5 Wireless. The shape is the same, but the left side has received the usual 12-button layout. The TrueMove Air sensor, TTC Golden Micro main button switches rated for 80 million clicks, and pure PTFE feet have been kept as well, along with 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity.

Unlit side buttons may not be as much of a problem as made out to be. When I got my X15, I left the numgrid lighting on when de-lighting the rest of the mouse, figuring that it would help with button identification. Turns out that after a few hours of acclimation, I never even look at the mouse. Well, unless going for the 9/10 buttons, which are outside the grid (the X15 doesn't have a very good grid, IMO). That price, tho... Jeebus cripes.

Yeah, I always turn off my side illumination to save battery and it has extremely rarely needed it.
