Another nice little box from BeeLink...

I have an earlier, i5-powered version and it does everything I need it to do in everyday tasks, including running 2x 1080p monitors and some light CAD, video, & database work, although I had to up the stock ram from 8 to 32GB, but I only paid ~$300 for the box so that was ok IMHO

Pretty compelling little unit. Couple of things that struck me: CMOS reset on the front? 2X HDMI but no DP? Fascinating.

The Ryzen 5 5600H is a fascinating little processor. My Dell G15 5515 laptop has one, and it honestly does not disappoint. This rendition of integrated Vega should also run most current games at around 30 fps at decent settings, and will be wonderful for emulation of almost every system out there. Needless to say it performs beyond well if you are not a gamer.

Radeon ReLive is not supported, but it does have the VCN 2.2 encoder block present and you will be able to make use of it with OBS Studio or Action! recorder, and the video encoder's quality/performance is identical to that of an RDNA 1 GPU (RX 5700 XT).

Shame that it comes set to cTDP down mode at 35 watts, though it doesn't seem like it's much slower than my laptop, which actually has it set to cTDP up mode (54 W). Most of the time the 5600H under full load (Cinebench R23) is going to be around its default 45 W target, anyway. Knowing this CPU's performance and behavior first hand, I would be happy to point people looking for a no nonsense and concise mini PC to grab this one.

Could you please post a power consumption figures? idle (at the desktop), video playback, and maybe max. But in reality idle is the most important.

It's a real shame it lacks DisplayPort, otherwise it seems like a very competent little system.

There's a missed opportunity with these little boxes. If they were slightly bigger, you could fit a better and quieter cooling solution with a 12cm or 14cm fan.
I think most people wouldn't mind the size increase, but they would appreciate the quietness and lower temps.

You could also go fanless, but that would require larger and heavier (=more expensive) heat sinks.

I saw the same thing with CMOS in front and can just imagine trying to quickly switch out a USB cable and BOOM blue screen haha

There's no risk of that happening, look at the picture, it's one of those safety buttons that you need to push with a needle or something like that for the button to activate.

As for heat and noise, the heatsink design kept the test system under 80°C in all tests, peaking at 77°C with the average load temperature being 55°C. While it can be a bit noisy especially depending on your custom fan profile, by default out of the box, it peaked around 46 dBA (6 inches away), and in most workloads, it stays nearly silent. Part of this is due to the system's power draw. At idle, it sips power using an avg of 9 watts at the wall. Under more typical loads, it draws 30 to 40 watts with peaks of 50 watts in extreme stress tests. The SER5 Pro 5600H is, on the whole, a well-balanced system.

There's no risk of that happening, look at the picture, it's one of those safety buttons that you need to push with a needle or something like that for the button to activate.

Also, the CMOS can't be reset while the computer has power. To reset the CMOS you have to unplug the unit from wall power.

There is a thermal pad between the M.2 and the case. So it is already heatsinked.

Just received the PC and want to give a little update.

I knew the PC was going to be small but it was still smaller than I expected when I opened the box. I noticed they have upgraded the power adaptor to 19V 3.42A ~65W output instead of 57W. Still getting used to Win 11 Pro. So far, I'm not very happy that many Win 11 option are hidden and not very customizable (It is on 21H2). However, the PC feels very fast coming from a 2600k full ATX PC.

The Beelink SER 5600H, runs quite good for a mini pc with one exception. It does output digital audio but does not support Dolby Atmos or DTS-X. Not to mention is has trouble running the audio and 2 monitors simultaneously. However, really can't expect my desktop in a mini pc. For its' price, I can't really complain about anything. When attempting to set any type of multi-channel setup for audio, it will only give you the 2-channel stereo configuration. Like I said though, it is a great little computer.

Hey Zanshire,

I ran into some issues with windows 11pro on the SER5 5560U. Sometimes when installing an update and the PC will restart with a blank screen. No signal at all. I have to hard reset it to configure windows setup again. But under normal usage seems to be fine. Maybe it is a windows 11 problem.

Just wondering if you had encounter similar problems

Anyone still considering this one should check the Amazon Prime day deals. Even the 5800H variant is discounted considerably today. $317 for an 8C/16T system is an incredible deal.
