Who says I only have locally attached antenna's and put my pc on the ground? My Ssus board came with a movable antenna in a much better place than the back of the mobo.

Still a nice idea but I'd say it's more of a gimmick than anything very useful for most people

I had an ASRock board for my Phenom II x4 940 years ago and the wifi antenna had a 5 or 6ft long cable, I just ran the cable up behind my desk and had the antenna sitting in the back left corner of my desk, closest to the router. The antenna/nic was solid, too, worked much better over the USB ones I tried and another PCI wifi card that only had the little antenna that screwed to the card.

I don't think I've had as good of a wifi nic since that MB.

The vast majority of Wifi cards have external antennas. Even if they didn't you can buy an extension very easily.

The idea of this monitor is silly, if you want an antenna on your monitor you can attach one yourself to it pretty easily. Having one integrated into the monitor is inherently inferior as it bars you from changing the antenna, extending the antenna, and greatly limits placement. An external antenna, one that comes with most wifi included motherboards, is going to be far superior.

This approach isn't really more convenient either. It doesn't eliminate the need to screw the connectors into your wifi card. Actually placing an external antenna takes no time. Maybe more if you have poor signal but in that case you specifically want an external antenna so you can place it for best wifi signal.

Huh, didn't know that gamers actually used wifi. I just assumed it was primarily for cell phone, tablet, laptop use. My wifi sucks!

34" is a $440 VA panel, no wonder they're only mentioned wifi.

Interesting product. I can see use cases for this for sure. I have dealt with wifi issues from having a computer hidden in a corner under a desk before. The worst one was a computer placed behind a mirror, but that is a story for another day.

But at the same time, I use monitor arms. Which means I would have to leave the most interesting feature of these monitors in the box, if I were to buy one.
