The Thermaltake GF3 with 750 W max power is an ATX v3.0 and PCIe 5.0 ready PSU, meaning that you won't need to use the dreadful 12+4 16-pin adapters since it has a native 12VHPWR cable, rated at 600 W. The PSU's performance is high, and it also has a quiet operation.

Thanks Aris. How much can we imply your findings here on the 1000W unit of this series?

Edit: found the answer here. Cool

Wow near the 50mV threshold of ripple. Been a while since I have seen one that bad in a review.

The only problem is I bought the previous version for $80. $160 instead of $80, just for one cable, that's the new proposition. Ouch.

Great review as always. I have some thermaltake PSUs. Some have nice quality but they also have some budget low ends stuff. This day and age I would start with a minimum of 850w ATX 3 if I am doing a new build.

we will have to wait till the Vertex is officially out and I review it :)
Many new upcoming models from Seasonic, SilverStone, FSP, BeQuiet!, Corsair.
Without reading PSU conclusions on this site, it's really difficult choosing the right one to buy since most would upgrade this component once every 10 years.

i guess release whatever you have, people will buy it for the new cards, quality is not very important

Just ordered one after reading this review.

I don't understand why there are different rated cables for the 12VHPWR. It seems like all cables should be rated for 600 watts and the power suppy it gets connected to grounds out whatever pins needed to say what it's capable of doing?

Is this cable thing a concern? Is there a replacement cable that I should order one day? I won't be using it anytime as I'm still on an RTX 3070 but I wanted to somewhat futureproof my next build.

My PSU just arrived and it looks like they listened. Mine came with a 300 watt cable.
