impressive indeed and the price is not even that steep (aside the aluminum version ofc )

if they had it in black with front engraved legends at 89.99$ i would buy it in a jiffy to replace my DK440R

You can get a replacement keycap set for not a lot of money these days, maybe that's worth looking into.

Why on earth they put GX12s... it is so weird.

Could you do your close up shots on higher aperture so DoF increase and can ogle the PCB and soldering quality more?

It's all hand shot, not a tripod. I can go a bit more next time but there's only so much I can do holding the PCB in one hand and a heavy dSLR/lens in the other.

As for the GX12 connector, it's mostly an aesthetic trend in keyboard cables for the last couple of years. The excuse is those who have multiple keyboards and routinely swap between them for whatever reason can easily do so using the split connection in the cable. But of course the real reason is because people think it looks cool.

A shot of something stiff before for better hand auto compensation and burst shot it.

More logical would be to use a USB extender. Male and Female Type C... Those are not expensive either and would remain functional no matter what. But common sense doesn't apply to majority of products we are seeing lately.

Great review, these EpoMaker keyboards keep looking better and better. I've been looking for a 75% and was looking at the TH80 Pro, but I might have to check this one out as well. I'm surprised the non triple mode is only $59. I would only pickup the all plastic one. I believe I would buy the Keychron Q1 Pro over the aluminum gk75.
