I bought the Sennheiser HD599 recently, was on sale shipped and sold by Amazon for only $79, used to be $200 for a really long time. I wonder if I will like it as much as my HD58X. They are very different cans in sound signature, so should compliment each other nicely.

Apparently the HD599 are the most comfortable headphones ever made, you can wear them for 15 hours and not notice it. So, that is main reason I bought them, plus the extra sound stage will be nice.

@VSG Have you listened to the HD599 yet?

Afraid not, although I have had the original HD 598 for over a decade now. It's also incredibly comfortable.

Not really many good options largely because the wireless game is dominated by ANC type sets and that kills the point of open backed and the open backed game sort of expects you have an amp/dac stack anyways.
