The Corsair MP600 Core XT is a competitively priced entry-level M.2 NVMe solid-state-drive with support for PCI-Express 4.0. Under the hood it uses a Phison E21 controller, paired with 176-layer 3D QLC NAND flash from Micron.

@W1zzard I know you aren't interested in testing this, just wanted to share with you something really neat about SteamOS (Arch Linux) on the Steam Deck. I was looking at load times for games under this review, and realized my Steam Deck does these much quicker. Honestly it is spooky how quick and fluid the Steam Deck is.

That being said, I did upgrade from the 64gb flash to the Sabrent 512gb Gen4 2230 drive. If I remember correctly though the 64gb flash one was also impressively fast. If you know anyone IRL, might be fun to test out some 2230 drives for us Steam Deck owners. No real need to though to be honest. It would be a short review though, since Deck is only for games really lol

@W1zzard nice review as always. I was wondering how is that Creator motherboard from Asus??
And another question. I run SFC usually after every Windows update and it always seems to correct errors. Is it possible the nvme is responsible for this? Or just typical windows or other??

Not bad, only place it fails compared to my 960 pro is the Write cache. My 960 afaik will never drop of a cliff like this drive does.

Corsair really needs to work on these names way too many SSD with similar names.

Would be nice if 990 pro was reviewed. It's a Samsung flagship after all. Especially after the february firmware update. No reviews with that firmware fix exist to date.

Is it TLC or QLC?
Quoted from the second page "The four flash chips are Micron 176-layer 3D TLC NAND. Each chip has a capacity of 512 GB."

System Name deleted account.
i se the problems with this drive and think it would be minimized with a 4tb version, and hopefully that one drops in price, larger drivers should cost less pr gigabyte. 220 dollar would be perfect price if they doubled the SLC cache.

I noticed that the KC3000 SLC cache results in page 6 shows it having an 142GB cache, whereas on its original review shows a 643GB one, is there any reason for this change of values? Which one is the correct one?

Thanks for reporting! This is fixed now. Also in the other reviews recently posted. Not sure where that incorrect number came from.

I don't understand. In the synthetic bench MP600 Core XT just blows off the chart, but in real life applications it rivals qlc sata ssd, much worse than your average pcie 3.0 nvme.
