I'd probably consider SMSL C100 instead, it has some additional things like headphone amp and remote and not much higher price

And M300SE if you need balanced outputs

C100 is also just a DAC, you need a separate amp with it as with the SU-1.

Whops, sorry. Yes, C200 is the one with everything, as well as DL200.
Topping MX3s can even power passive loudspeakers

The first two are over twice the cost of the SU-1, which makes sense since an additional amp would be similarly priced, and compete against the likes of the FiiO K5 Pro/K7 instead. The MX3 looks neat, but feels discontinued now so I don't know what it went for. Either way, I'd say the value proposition of the SU-1 remains valid.

Curious, I see this and several other DACs claiming to support 768ksps PCM, yet when they are plugged into a Windows computer, the highest any offer is 384ksps, even with their Thesycom custom driver. How do they get away with this?

Or is the highest sample rate only on some other operating system?

btw, yes, I know that it would make no difference when listening to music. I'm interested in something like this for use as a test signal source.

Not sure what you mean by 768ksps, but I have no problem sending 32bit / 384Khz through USB
