MOONDROP decides to showcase its capabilities with the new flagship Solis 2 that looks, feels, and sounds premium. It uses a tribrid driver configuration inside novel precious metal shells that get a unique artisanal design and puts out an extremely smooth sound which is still detailed and engaging.

Nice! I wasnt one of them but I REALLY appreciate the non static picture. Including a gif really makes a difference in showing what something "looks" like.

Nah, I just haven't posted yet.

I care more about it's performance than looks, but at this price range, the aesthetics matter alot and are not to my tastes.

Impressive workmanship. Even if it didn't make sound it would a pretty neat piece of jewelry or decor.

Though I'd be a bit concerned about the durability as it's made of soft metals.

Not that soft, the sterling silver composition still has harder metals in it and I doubt this would fare any worse than resin shells.

Amazing! I loved the packaging and especially the artwork... this one earns a perfect score throughout, I wish I could afford one! Incredible stuff. It makes the weeb in me all tingly and fuzzy and all :D

I hope Moondrop makes some more accessible models following this design language.

Wow!

Look at the Moondrop Beautiful World linked above, maybe it's closer to your budget?

Much closer, but then again it's more of around what the Blessing 2/3 would be going for that would be around my hard limit for something like this

These things are built and designed like jewels, I understand the appeal and think the price is justified though. Both for the $777 Beautiful World and this $2700 Solis 2 :)

Wow!

Their packaging is, love or hate it, really consistent through their items. There are a lot of people, myself included here, who buy their products despite the packaging, and then there are those who will buy each version of an IEM with a different shell because pokemon collect all the waifus. So whatever they are doing isn't driving off customers but sure has a rabid fan club. Some of their products used to come in wooden boxes with burned in markings and that was more my jam.

Since you like the art, they do make waifu stands to photograph your IEMs on.

For much less, sub 200, you can get the Kato. Which while a single DD they did it up with the casing and it comes in a few choices. It's not to the same complexity but of course, but it's nice. At the sub 100 you get the Aria which has a bunch of variotions with different waifus. Even their ear tips come in waifu boxes.

My only gripe with these is once I clear the 2000 sticker price I am going to go custom.
