Ugreen adds to its popular charging accessories portfolio with the Nexode 300W desktop GaN charger. It provides faster charging from a smaller footprint compared to silicon-based OEM offerings for as many as five devices simultaneously and a total of 300 W, and you get a premium USB Type-C charging cable as well.

I wish they'd make a 6-7 port version where each type C is 45 watt. When you work with thousands of chromebooks a multi bok charger would make SUCH a huge difference, but nobody seems to want to make one that can do more then 3 at a time.

It's neat that the higher up the port, the more power it can draw, but the values themselves will be hard to remember for most users.

The max power output is printed below each port.
It's printed below 3 out of 5 ports and even then, it can vary. But I suppose it's the best they could do without an active display to dynamically adjust the power info.

Max 140W on a single device

The 140W version offers the full power on a single port, so calling this one 300W feels kinda misleading, maybe calling it 140W/300W would be the right thing to do

The latest USB standard "Power Delivery 3.1 Type-C" allows up to 240W

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I've been using a 30W UGreen NeXode GaN 30W charger for my Steam Deck since buying one, and it's fantastically compact with folding pins (which is rare for the chunky UK plugs, too)

I'm not really sure what the market is for these 300W models, especially when the ports aren't capable of evenly distributing power. Like @TheinsanegamerN says, you probably want multiple lower-Wattage ports rather than a few high power ports; Realistically, the only high-power devices on the market aren't really that power-hungry, they're rated high because they have their own USB-C hubs that daisy-chain to other devices, to the power rating is to that hub, not for the device itself.

Multi USB chargers have long been rated at "total" output, rather then the output of a particular port.

Wooow!
It's a very nice piece of sweet technology, but unfortunately it's not serviceable,so if you have broken some ports you'll live with it forever.

Fellow UK Steam Deck user here, I am more partial to the 'collapsing earth pin' style of folding plug charger instead of this Ugreen one (I use the Motorola-branded 50W charger but I am aware some of the Samsung phone chargers also have folding earth pin. This style of charger allows the whole unit to be slimmer so it's actually more convenient for me compared to the Ugreen style folders, since it can fit into the slim pocket on my work bag (and will also fit in the cavity under the elastic band on the factory Steam Deck case.

This is how all these chargers are being sold, the manufactaurers list the total output capacity of the device.
How it's split between the ports really varies and you can get two 140 W chargers from two different brands and one does 65+65 W when two Type-C ports are used and the other brand does 100+30 W, meaning you can't charge two laptops at once with some of these.
So far, there are no 240 W chargers in the market.

Yeah, I have a couple of those Samsung ones with the sliding earth pin, one is only 15W (9v*1.67A), and the other is a proper USB-C PD with 25W but it's not quite enough to avoid the annoying warning the Steam deck gives you about slow charging.

You're right about the pocket in the back of the deck's case though - My Samsung 25W one lives in there permanently because even though it's a slower charge, it fits so well for travelling.

If you're not satisfied with the slow Samsung charger I'd recommend giving these Motorola branded ones a go, they make a 68W single port version and a 50W dual port version, pretty affordable. I have one that I keep in the Steam Deck case and one in my work bag since it's so convenient, and it will just about charge my work laptop so I don't even bother with the stock Lenovo brick anymore.

Not sponsored by Motorola just liked those enough to recommend it to everyone I know

P/S I hate the UK power plug, I know they're technically a very safe design compared to other countries but does it have to be so damn bulky?

Hmm, Amazon have the 50W for £23, that's not actually bad at all.

Also, you may hate the UK plug, but you only appreciate how much better it is when you've spent several months in the US or Europe. It may be bulky, but it's by far the most solid and trouble-free power plug in the world. Of the EU plugs, the French/Belgium Type-E socket is the least shit, but it's still shit:

This is just my personal opinion, but a hybrid between the French Type-E plug and the German Schuko socket would probably get a pass by UK plug standards. Sadly, such a hybrid doesn't officially exist, even though I've used a few.

My appreciation of the extra safety and reliability features of the UK plug goes out the window the first time I accidentally step on one. They're the only thing to rival Lego bricks in this respect

Regarding ugreen's recently released flagship charger 300w nexode with 5 ports is a upgrade for those who need even more power than the powerful 200w nexode charger with 6 ports. As a proud owner of the 200w nexode charger, it's performed great so far in the 3 months I've owned it, it's plenty powerful and versatile with it's 6 ports so with that said it's safe to assume the 300w nexode charger will be an even better charger which is saying a lot and should be the top rated desktop charger on the market.
