Lords of the Fallen: FSR 2.2 vs. DLSS 2 vs. DLSS 3 Comparison

I don't think this game is graphically impressive enough to sink a 4090 below 60fps. I feel that the performance obtained with these gimmicks is what you should get running at native resolution... The legacy of upscalers continues

Anyway, there seems to be an artifact in which a transparent aura appears around the character's head, it is more visible with FSR/fake frames on.

same with Immortals of Aveum, seems like Unreal 5 so far is more a curse then anything else....

and ill say again, it seems like an odd choice to run frame generation on a title that is all about fast reaction time and thus low input latency.

This release on PC also has support for NVIDIA's DLSS Frame Generation (also known as DLSS 3)???

I must have missed episodes, when the game was released FG didn't work if I remember correctly because it had some kind of problems, was it added with the new patches or with new drivers? It's just there for use but it needs a command?

You have missed the part in the article where the command is listed

No,I read it,i just don't understand if the command was added after the patch or if it was already there,I'm also bad at English,so sorry, but I'm trying.

The command was added with the second patch after numerous requests from players.

The game's graphics looks like Vermitide 2 2018 title that gets 200 to 240 fps max settings at 4k native on my 4090 suprim liquid/7800X3D imo. Unreal engine 5 is supposed to improve gaming graphics not digress and use upscaling techniques as a clutch. We are heading in the opposite direction subjectively speaking!

DLSS image looks more stable, as usual, but it also appears to be resolving less detail in the tree branches than FSR 2.2? At least in the sample shots and video. Anyone try swap DLSS profiles presets to see what happens?

The FSR in this game is the least bit poor.

2K
Νο upscaling
Fsr Q

I remember reading somewhere that this game was supposed to include FSR 3 at launch? Did that get scrapped or am I thinking of something else?

Sad having to resort to downscaling to be able to play a game in 2023.

What's up with the Elden Ring - Elden Beast boss music in the video ? :>

The press review version had menu options for FSR3, which aren't present in the public release

I haven't read the article yet. Guessing:
"FSR 2 is worse than DLSS 2 and it has a sharpening filter and shimmering".
"not much else to report"

Edit: I'm glad to say that I was wrong.
Lots of sharpening talk but at least it didn't feel like a copypaste of the same lines in every FSR vs DLSS article prior.

It's very likely that a ton of games were meant to have FSR 3 at launch (including Starfield) but Advanced Mega Delays did their thing and released only for minor titles to beta test at first.
When FSR 3 will be officially in Starfield is when they'll consider it really ready, I guess.

So best option is just to use DLAA !!

It seems that DLSS2 and FSR both have issues in this game !
