The EK-Loop Fan FPT 120 D-RGB aims to buck the trend of RGB fans being poor performers. You get a balance of function and form here courtesy nine DRGB LEDs in the hub but then a standard square frame and a hybrid rotor design paired with an updated motor and bearing too. The end result is a long RPM range and good performance:noise ratio too.

This is a problem with these fans with specialty daisy chain: they're all (most) proprietary to make you buy another unit from them if it goes kaput.

Worse noise-normalized performance than expected vs the Be Quiet. Those ~2mm outer edge that the Be Quiet compromised for the aesthetic RGB ring usually account for a big chunk of performance .

For the lulz, can you conduct some fun test? Can you run 4 these fans via Y splitter ie 4 fans from one PWM drive like for 480rad.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
Even if they're not the best or the most consumer-friendly fans, I can at least appreciate that EK didn't shrink the fan rotor to accommodate the stupid lights.

I use light wings they are good all rounders for radiators imo and the RGB is intrusive but still do a good job.

These fan makers, always copying each other...look at the Tecware Omni P12. Well, the Tecware would be the very cheap version, without the rifle bearing and connections. Also, the have a little angle winglet like surface at the end of each blade that these EK do not seem to have. I have 3 Omnis. They are good in which they can pull a lot of air from a filter without dispersing in it to the sides. Way better at that, at same speeds, than other fans I have/had, including the XPG Vento 120, ID-Cooling XF 12025 SD old (probably the most original of all these) and then the XF 12025 SD new, FL 12025, Aerocool Frost 12, all three with the same shape, same as those new Thermalright and others. But not sure if the Omnis are better than the classic old shape that I also have (how all PC fans were before they started with the weird blade shapes).
Noise: not bad up to less than 1300 RPM, then they get noisy. Luckily they are good enough at pulling air through the front filter that I don't need much more than 1300RPM. They have some strong resonances though, and when they go pass 1500 they start sounding different and resonate strongly.

Do all rgb fans have such a short warranty? Serious question I don't own any, mainly Noctua's with a 6 yr warranty.

Basically, quieter but worse performing vs. my Vardar Evo RGBs... Which are relatively old. Weird that there hasn been all that much progress on RGB fan performance in all those years.
Not that I need other fans… since I added a 420mm rad, my rig is whisper quiet thanks to all the additional rad capacity
