Well it is named differently instead of bait and switching, name is similar so they will get sales from people thinking this is a 2TB version of the TLC drive, clever.

But wow whats going on with the price, another QLC drive that costs more than TLC per TB. £227 Amazon UK.

It's a decent price for 2TB. Seems to me it's designed for low-end portables like Steam deck - not for high performance machines.

If/when I buy a Steamdeck Oled, one of these is definitely ion my sights.

Of course, I would prefer 4TB.

It's scummy for sure but they all have been doing it. Some, like Crucial, outright omit mentioning QLC. They know customers don't want it but will go out of their way to trick you into it. Got to be a lot of people who simply buy without much thought.

Remarkably low endurance of 450 TBW for 2TB drive - perhaps normal for QLC?

Hi,
Yeah that's pretty wild pricing
I paid about the same for the 4tb sn850x and eventually got two of them at 230.us a pop.
They sure want a lot for the corsair sailboat
