Hmm. It costs almost as much as the old Live Gamer 4K, which can record 4K60. But I guess the x1 connection makes it usable in a lot more PCs.

If you don't have a x4 slot, but you need hi-res pass-through, I guess it makes sense.

If you don't have a x4 slot, but you need hi-res pass-through, I guess it makes sense.

The card does not make sense at all actually. The best could be to get rid of the ASMEDIA USB hub and leave simple internal sockets to be attachable on your motherboard USB3 header. Simple, cheaper, I even think native CPU USB3 would even have less latency.
