The Dangbei Atom is barely the size of small, ultraportable projectors that tend to put out 200-400 ANSI Lumens, but don't be fooled by its size, its designers claim a maximum brightness of 1200 ISO Lumens (around 1500 ANSI Lumens)! It does so using a laser light source, and is able to project a Full HD display head onto a large 100-inch screen over a roughly 8-foot distance. The only drawback is that this isn't quite a portable projector, it lacks a battery, and you rely on a 12 V DC wall wart. 5 W stereo speakers make for the rest of it. Google TV comes pre-installed, so all your streaming apps from the Play Store just work. Besides Wi-Fi, the projector takes in an HDMI source, and a USB 2.0 (for mass storage). Dangbei is pricing the Atom at $899.
