UHS-ii is a must in 2024. I honestly can't believe consumers are still buying UHS-i. It's probably simply at the detriment of the consumer and their own ignorance that propels them to continue to buy UHS-i.
Going from 100mb/sec to 250mb/sec from UHS-i to UHS-ii is such a difference when you're doing professional photography and transferring large amounts of photos or videos.... I go from taking 30 minutes to transfer on UHS-i to maybe 2 minutes on UHS-ii...its that much of a difference.

Why is there a press release for a UHS-I card reader?

UHS-II is a dead format though, we should be migrating to SD Express.
Even if the card throttles at PCIe speeds, it should still be much faster than UHS-II.

SD Express is only backwards compatible to UHS-I, so there is no point in investing in it if we are all supposed to go into SD Express in the end.
Honestly, UHS-II and UHS-III are failed formats, the SD Cards that support it aren't common and devices are mostly cameras.
But we have a need due to stuff like gaming handhelds.
