Meze Audio updates its flagship LIRIC closed-back headphones to offer a new take on the warm sound signature it is known for. The LIRIC 2nd Generation now features Macassar ebony wooden ear cups, easily detachable ear pads, an updated driver setup addressing the harsh treble the original LIRIC did, and retains the excellent fit and finish too.

$2000 is a really competitive range, anyone who wants to spend this kind of money I really recommend you go to a headphone meet up or a "can jam" and test out a variety of headphones.

Listened to the original 1st gen at my local hi-fi store. Wasn’t convinced, planars when done as a closed-back always sound a bit harsh to me. Might be a preference thing, to be honest. These seem to be an improvement though, so good going to Meze, I suppose.
Wouldn’t pay 2000 for any can, to be fair, the diminishing returns are insane at that point.
