LIAN LI Industrial Co. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of chassis and PC accessories, will be attending Computex 2024, located at Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1, 1F, booth I0110, from June 4th to June 7th. The company will be showcasing its latest prototypes and innovations, including three new cases: LANCOOL 207, LANCOOL 217 featuring a wooden aesthetic, and O11 Vision Compact. Additionally, LIAN LI will unveil new accessories such as the STRIMER PLUS V3 and UNI FAN SL V3, which feature a groundbreaking wireless controller to eliminate virtually all fan cables. Visitors can also expect a demonstration of the LIAN LI and SignalRGB collaboration, offering a more convenient way to control lighting effects for quick and easy sync of RGB for all components.

The LANCOOL 207 is an M-ATX-sized case with ATX compatibility. To achieve this, the motherboard tray is lowered and recessed in the cable management chamber, and the PSU mounting is moved to the front with the ports facing the left side panel for direct access. This arrangement helps achieve a compact frame that's compatible with ATX motherboards, 360 AIOs at the top, GPUs up to 410 mm in length, and PSUs up to 160 mm in length. Hidden in the PSU shroud are two pre-installed 120 mm PWM fans, while two 30 mm thick 140 mm ARGB fans featuring infinity mirrors are pre-installed at the front.

Surrounded by real wood, the LANCOOL 217 brings a unique lifestyle aesthetic. It features two layers of dust protection at the front panel: a mesh front panel, and a removable inner fan filter on the backside of the front fans. The LANCOOL 217 comes with pre-installed 170x170x30mm front fans to ensure optimized CPU and GPU cooling, and features a cleaning mode button that reverses the front fan blades to get rid of dust upon activation. The bottom of the case supports up to three 120 mm fans for additional airflow. The LANCOOL 217 is compatible with both regular and back-connect motherboards, making it a versatile choice.

The O11 VISION Compact is a refined version of the popular O11 VISION case. This compact case features two types of top panels: a glass panel for a seamless three-glass look, and a mesh panel with a bracket to support AIO cooling up to 360 mm. When the AIO is side-mounted, tubes can be hidden in the second chamber for a clean, tubeless appearance. The case supports horizontal GPU installation with an anti-sag bracket, and the PCIe expansion slot panel can be rotated for vertical GPU support. Compatible with both regular and back-connect motherboards, the O11 VISION Compact maintains the height and depth of the original O11 Dynamic but is wider for improved GPU compatibility and airflow.

Introducing a revolutionary wireless controller for its PC case accessories. This addresses long-standing concerns of managing different controllers for different generations and product lines. Starting this year, the wireless controller will be implemented for UNI FANs, Strimer cables, and AIOs. The UNI FAN SL V3 and Strimer Plus V3 will be the first to feature this innovative technology, with additional products to follow. These advancements promise seamless control and an enhanced user experience for all LIAN LI enthusiasts. The first prototypes will be unveiled at COMPUTEX 2024.

LIAN LI is excited to present a collaboration with SignalRGB at COMPUTEX 2024. This partnership brings a beta version of L-Connect 3 embedded with SignalRGB, offering a streamlined and convenient way to control lighting effects across all components including motherboard, graphics cards, memory, etc. This integration enhances the user experience by providing unified and intuitive lighting management, marking a significant step forward in customization and control.

The LANCOOL 216 RGB has been awarded the highest S Rating from the PPLP Lab, a hardware component test lab that began providing ratings for PSUs with Chroma test equipment. This ATX mid-tower case is one of the first products to receive the PPLP Chassis Star rating. The LANCOOL 216 series is specifically designed for superior cooling performance and offers better cooling capabilities compared to open platforms. It has achieved the highest S-level cooling rating in the PPLP Chassis Star rating program.

I would like to see wood strip replacements for the O11 Evo cases.

That 207 looks interesting(watched GamersNexus video covering Lian Li) and for $80 it can be a steal given it still provides 2x3.5" drive slots and good cooling especially for GPU.

Loving this new trend: finding it too hard to break/crack the glass panel on the side of your case? Let's try glass panels on two sides!

Not to mention the only straight path left for the air is top-to-bottom (or the other way around).

What is strange (to me, at least) is there is a low hanging fruit if you want to be innovative about PC cases: bring back the desktops that were popular in the late 80s and early 90s. Now that nobody uses DVD drives, storage device got a lot smaller, there isn't much of a case (pun!) for towers. Just find a way to install that last bulky component that is video card and people will be able to stick the PC under their monitor and save a lot of space in the process. You'd need good airflow though, cause you wouldn't be able to fit a 120mm fan+CPU cooler in there.

I really like the 217 with it's big ass fans and wood trim. 207 also looks interesting, seeing how it's only $80 and it's fairly compact but should allow for some great airflow.

I like the wood trim in this case - the 217. Can it handle a E-ATX?
If it is a true successor to the 216, it very well should.

With that size of fan, where could someone find a 170 RAD for a watercooled system

If the case has mounting points for rads, you can still use the airflow from the 170s if they're mounted inline. It may not be optimal but still very usable (airflow is airflow). For example, I ran a XSPC 360 V1 with 2x230mm fans in front. In my old Coolermaster HAF-X and it worked out quite nicely. Temps were great even with Q6700 and sli 8800gtx loop.
