The Corsair MP600 Mini 2 TB SSD delivers outstanding storage performance for the Steam Deck, thanks to its TLC flash and the new Phison E27T controller. While pricing is a bit high, it might be acceptable for people looking to get the best out of their portable console.

For other consoles like RoG Ally and LegionGo you get 5$ nvme adapters to use casual 2280 that cost way less without any trouble. It is Steam Deck LCD problem. The Steam Deck OLED has also an adapter made and it fits inside the case without mods, and soon everyone will copy cat it and make it cheap in few months.

Do you have a link to the adapter for Steam Deck? I have never heard of this just being ready to buy and use out of the box without modding...

Personally, I like the 2230 size for Steam Deck, I wish they would make gen3 only drives 2230 for Deck LCD and Deck OLED, because honestly you can't tell a difference at all on SteamOS gaming, plus it would save energy and heat and cost less to produce I assume.

If someone offers us a 2TB gen3 2230 drive for Deck specifically around $130, I'd buy one. I see no reason they couldn't make profit off that price.

It is for the OLED.
Wait a bit... it will spawn clones on aliexpress just as for the other handhelds. The price marging for a normal 2280 drive versus 2230 is plain stupid, so people are creative again.

Very interesting design on that. Surprised valve didn't think of this, just extend it with a ribbon so it can still lay flat elsewhere... genius really.

Riser adapter magic is pretty old stuff... pay attention to the name m2mkeyext v8, it seems it already is on taobao. It does not look that elegant, but who cares, it flies.

Either way I don't see harm using these. Sorry for Corsair, but it makes more sense for all folks to go adapter route.

This should be a decent drive to put in CFx-B adapter and get 2TB card for cheap, also its quite surprising is that Corsair is offering 2TB 2230 sized SSD with TLC Nand while their 2242 sized drives top out at 1TB capacity.

You can try go cheaper with a printed case for external SSD storage with the JSAUX, dbrand and other Steam Deck cases.
