I might have missed it, but this review doesn't have a single picture of the PSU installed in a dual chamber case!!! In all the marketing materials there wasn't a single picture of this thing installed in a case and actually showing how the shape provides some sort of advantage, so I was hoping this review would provide that because I'm still not seeing how this PSU benefits the user or makes things easier....and there were numerous other people leaving similar comments when this thing was initially announced, so I know I'm not the only one.

...is it me? Am I expecting too much in wanting to see an image of this PSU installed in the type of case it was ostensibly designed for? Because I still do not see the reason for this things existence and I was hoping this review would demonstrate that to me with images.

Maybe you're meant to hang it on a wall? The design would certainly encourage it.

I'm curious how this layout really helps in any way, dual-chamber or not.

The scenario that actually makes the most sense to me is super-basic single-chamber towers that don't have PSU shrouds and have inadequate clearance to route cables behind the motherboard tray (if there even is a motherboard tray). Then, this layout is a clear advantage without caveat - but it's also cases on the opposite end of the price spectrum to this PSU, so I'm not sure they'd ever be combined in the real world.

this is good for a Lancool iii case, because the cables point up, instead into the chamber, giving you more space in the bottom compartment if you are using the harddrive cages. using two Harddrive cages side by side, really is tight.

I guess from an electrical point having the main connectors on a single PCB is more efficient? Because with the traditional layout they're on their own daughter PCB because of the 90 degree angle.

At first i was sceptical, but then i watched JayTwoCents video of him building it in a regular case with bottom mounted PSU, and even there it has it's uses. Something you need to see someone building with it to get behind the idea

Explanation:
I do get the point to hint that at 60Hz @ 115V AC (Alternating Current) the Power Supply Unit will draw 15 Ampere most likely. In the European countries @ 230V AC the power supply Unit may use up to max 7.5 Amps.

It hurts to see such a flaw in a technical article.

@suvirintojas Please include 115V AC mains results in future reviews. 230V mains greatly improves a power supply's conversion efficiency and general stability as it has to deal with a lot less input current, 80 Plus and Cybenetics certifications are conducted primarily in 115V AC mains (with a separate certificate issued for 230V) for this reason. Many places in the world do not have access to 230V mains. While it is common in Europe, it's relatively rare in the United States, Japan, large parts of Brazil and many other regions. I use my PC on 115V for example, and in Japan, mains voltage goes as low as 100V AC. In these lower voltage outlets, a power supply's conversion efficiency will take a hit and in many cases, so will their rated capacity. The review is thus not representative of expected real-world performance when operated in these regions.

We know .. of course .. I think the number just ended up in the wrong box. I reorganized that section to just "AC Input"

I usually want smaller parts. This power supply unit makes the footprint much bigger as it needs to be. Cables are specified to be bend. Cases are made with the ordinary power supply unit form factor and design in mind.

Let's assume I'd buy and assemble that PSU. It would take up more space on all 4 cases I build recently a PC.

I usually want smaller parts. This power supply unit makes the footprint much bigger as it needs to be. Cables are specified to be bend. Cases are made with the ordinary power supply unit form factor and design in mind.

Let's assume I'd buy and assemble that PSU. It would take up more space on all 4 cases I build recently a PC.

It is smaller and lighter(than my Corsair1200HM and be quiet! 1500W Dark Power. The cables are impressive to me. Should be trouble-free in Lian Li's O11 Vision PCMR. Power Cabling for your big GPU's I'll be using an RTX3090 OC24, Hero VIII and an air-cooled R9 5950X. More fans coming.
