AMD Software Adrenalin 24.8.1 WHQL Released

AMD today released the latest version of AMD Software Adrenalin drivers for Radeon GPUs and integrated graphics. Version 24.8.1 comes with optimization for "Black Myth: Wukong." It also includes optimization for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta," "Concord," and "Star Wars Outlaws." The drivers extend HYPR-Tune support to "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III," "Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered," and "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales." Anti-Lag 2 support is added to "Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut."

AMD also took the opportunity to fix a handful issues. To begin with, an intermittent application crash for "Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess" on Radeon RX 6600 series and RX 6700 series GPUs, has been fixed. Another such crash when launching "Pacific Drive" and "Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX" has been fixed. AA and AF settings failing to correctly apply for OpenGL applications has been fixed. Artifacts in games such as "Rust" and "Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales" have been fixed. Abnormally high memory usage when playing certain editions of "Minecraft Java Edition" has been fixed. The shader optimization time in "Forza Motorsport" has been reduced.

Fixed Issues and Improvements

Intermittent application crash may occur while playing Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on some Radeon RX 6600 and 6700 series GPUs.
Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may occur while launching Pacific Drive or KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-.
Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering settings from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition may fail to correctly apply for OpenGL applications.
Artifacts may appear while playing certain games such as Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Rust.
Increased memory usage may be observed while playing certain versions of Minecraft Java Edition.
Improved "Optimizing Shaders" time when initially launching Forza Motorsport.

Known Issues

Audio and video may intermittently become out of sync while recording using the AV1 codec in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. [Resolution targeted for 24.9.2]

Can someone tell me why AMD has still not managed to provide its drivers with valid certificates?
Both the AMD and MS certificates have been expired for ages in the PDFWKRNL.sys file!!!!
(located in the usbcpdfw.exe).
Since 11.05.24 from AMD and 15.12.23 on MS side expired! and something like this is in a current driver pack where Windows denies access with every installation.
For 8 months I have been reporting the error over and over again and nobody at AMD cares ...

The link for this was posted on reddit yesterday and quickly pulled as it was giving a 404 error so looks like that hasn't been fixed yet.

I have existing bugs I report for over 3 years without a fix in Winwos 10 / 11 Pro.
Do not worry, gnu linux has less support from AMD as for the Windows platform.

Not in my experience - having used the AMD app to update to 24.7.1 not that long ago as the most recent time it was successful.

There is nothing wrong with the button. There are no drivers for it to find as these are not released yet.

The driver was pulled down shortly after release. It'll probably be rereleased later when they fix whatever was wrong with it.

Installed and unable to run the COD blizzard thing. It launches and crashes within 10 seconds. However Black Ops Cold War seemed fine.

Edit!!! 24.8.1 and the early preview drivers do not work with MW3. 24.20.01.02 however work perfectly fine
