The Corsair 3500X ARGB comes with three ARGB fans included for $110. Its emphasis on a simple yet spacious design makes this case an excellent choice for those looking for a clean and functional option, and it even has support for the BTF standard, which helps organize the cables.

A bad joke. Is it such hard to stick to the specification? If there exist any? Left and right of the screw end the connectors have no proper place. I assume both are just ordinary PWM Fan connectors.

Thank you. I doubt I prefer to work with big hands with such cases If i paid for it. I expect much more space to work with easily with the hands when the connectors are moved to the backside.

As always: Please sell cases without garbage like cheap fans or any pwm / rgb fan hubs and such nonsense.

That "reverse" connectors make the problem of routing of Sata, USB 3.0, 8-pin and 24-pin connector worse in cases which just add "support" for reverse connectors without proper depth on back side of cases.

Also good to see Corsair hasnt forgotten about reset button while they are making cases with cheap quality you can find with bottom of barrel cases from randon unknown brands.

You guys do realize there's no standard for connector platform for the so-called BTF, right?

I wish all motherboards would use server style edge connector for PSU.

It's just a bit sloppy, overall. Corsair can be very hit-or-miss with cases and this one smacks of afterthoughts and corner-cutting :\

Not using reverse-flow fans isn't a deal-breaker at $109.99 but using the wrong cable lengths on those fans is no excuse. "Just buy a $75 iCUE Commander" isn't a valid answer when the whole case is barely more expensive than that.

Not centering the side panel fan mounts is just sloppy. How hard is it to do what every other manufacturer has done and have centered holes for 120 and 140mm, rather than sharing a slot along one side to save a teeny tiny bit of machining time that likely totals under 1 US cent per case.

Other stuff like the lack of any grommets aren't what you want to see on cases over $100. Even it's it's only just over $100 - there are plenty of sub-$100 cases that don't skimp on $0.24 of rubber grommets.

I can't criticize BTF layout issues, that's more a problem with the lack of any one standard right now - the biggest problem with this is that there are just better cases in this class for the money, including other Corsair cases.

Too many minuses & not enough pluses for me, so let me just say that I agree with most of what has already been said in the posts before me, as well as the conclusions stated in the review...

At $109, I could get any number of other, better-designed cases out there, so I would not really recommend this case to anyone except maybe diehard Corsair fanbois, if any actually exist :)

Why not just go with Lian-Li? I would have, but I specced out a NH-D15 first and it wouldn't have enough clearance. That said, the case I have is working well for me (lots of space, good cooling).

A BTF case that isn't compatible with BTF boards. This meme layout can't get any stupider than this.

@Darksaber - Quick question for you. I'm considering a smaller case for my rig and was actually looking at this one (though, thanks to your in-depth review, I'm now not quite as interested in the case as I was beforehand) because it looks to be at least a little smaller than my current case. My question is, would you be able to provide a guess as to how much the case would weigh when fully-loaded (mobo+psu+gpu+280mm AIO)?

Thanks in advance :)

You'd be surprised how useful that is to some people who need it.
For sure! A lot of business and industrial PCs still have those ports. RS-232 is advantageous in the sense that you can have an incredibly long cable without needing it to be active; RS-232 cables can go up to 15 meters while USB can only go up to 5 meters.

I like Corsair cases, but this one doesn't seem to have gotten the Corsair quality its known for. Its a hard pass, also the the way the fans are positioned it wouldn't work out for me anyways.
