The Corsair 9000D RGB Airflow is a super-tower chassis that builds on the design of the 1000D. Corsair has made significant improvements to enhance cooling options and airflow. It features better iCUE integration and a front USB-C hub with a single connector, along with various smaller updates.

Corsair the most smartest manufacturer in the world.

Units do not belong to the SI unit system or any system. It belongs to the nothing system

The Case Height / Length / Width are measured in 698 units of nothing, maybe they mean apples or bananas?
The Weight is measured in 34.38 units of nothing, maybe they mean cars?

Most likely the uncommon statement of 3.5in in the "case drive bays" means 3.5" drives.

I just wanted to crosscheck the manufacturer page for the 29.1kg mentioned on the first page of this review.

I really wonder who can lift more than 29kg with mainboards, graphic cards and other peripherals when the system is fully build?

A case this big and no 200mm front fan support? I hope you can install 140s in the front and off set them but the price is almost double the 7000D airflow. Mini ITX support is nice but also very niche due to the cost of the boards. With the power of modern APUs maybe an APU based system would make more sense in that scenario as well but overall if this was a case you bought you would not be disappointed. You might as well buy all Corsair as well for peripherals as some of them only work with Icue software.

29.1kg? It deserves a special TPU 'Heavy Metal' award

::EDIT::

Also, Am i blind or does this case really come with NO case fans?

My fileserver is heavier though. each of my HDD cases weights around 40KG hailing them down stairs... not a fun experience.
Anyway 500 bucks is just insane of a mediocre cooling case. You don't even get enough screws from Corsair let alone casefans for that price. They've gone absolutely mad.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
That is comically huge and unnecessary but I'm sure it'll appeal to someone!
It's nice to see more than one USB-A port on the front IO for a change, at least.

I also had to do this, just to get an idea for how much bigger it was than a "normal" ATX case:

1729018540430.png

The H510 is a relatively compact case by modern standards, but it's still wider than strictly necessary to qualify as an ATX case since it accommodates 23mm of clearance behind the motherboard tray for cable routing, a 120mm rear fan next to the motherboard's IO shield, and 165mm clearance for larger air coolers (if you don't choose an AIO in the front). It'll also comfortably swallow a 1500W extra-long PSU, flagship ATX motherboards that encroach into the E-ATX standoff space, and a triple-stot RTX 4090 with up to 381mm of GPU clearance.

This isn't exactly a unicorn, either - the popular Fractal Meshify 2 or Phanteks Eclipse 300-series are also similar in size and layout.

I am a hypocrite for moaning about overly-large cases all the time while owning a larger case than the H510 (4000D) but I do have a dual-radiator custom loop in my 4000D that wouldn't fit in the H510 so please forgive my arrogance. For your average air-cooled 4070S build, the H510 is still truly cavernous.

thats not a case, thats a TANK! All its missing is a high-calibre cannon.

"£499" had me struggling considering a side-kick build in a Fractal Terra, Mini-ITX board and SFX PSU. Now i feel like a cheapie

I almost got the 1000D a few years ago for a new main rig build, but it was so overkill and likely a back killer fully loaded with custom cooling hardware that I decided I didn't need it. I went with a Meshify 2 XL instead and couldn't be happier.

The real appeal is the ability to run dual 480mm front radiators to cool basically ANYTHING, like an HEDT plus dual heavy wattage GPUs.

This is a glorious case and I'm glad it exists, but I don't do anything that could truly exploit its capabilities.

lol, yeah, that was my first thought on reading the specs on the first page. "Holy shit, someone included 4 USB ports in 2024!"

Skip to the last page, "Oh, it's $500. And 65 lbs." I guess that's what it takes, these days.

Even for a dual-system chassis, this thing is wild overkill. You can do 2 motherboards in an Enthoo Pro 2, IIRC, and those cost maybe $200 on their worst day. EDIT: Actually, $135. Wow.

This thing is absolutely overkill, even for an HEDT or workstation build. And considering the weight of this thing empty, I'm really surprised Corsair didn't include castors. Being on wheels would be the only way this thing moves around, and no way in hell is somebody getting this on their desk.

I had an 800D back in the day fully outfitted with HDDs, water cooling, and all. It was definitely a tank. I had it on a furniture dolly and could move it easily if needed. I was also doing a lot of traveling LANs, at the time. I used a regular dolly to haul it around lol :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

If I ever decide to retire my O11D-XL, I just might consider this one.

Sucks that cases have become so expensive these days. Cut the price in half and I'd get one immediately.

and no way in hell is somebody getting this on their desk.
On the other hand, it would look funny to have this behemoth next to your monitor. That would probably dwarf a 32" monitor easily.

dear sir/madam,

i note you are using an ioc for case tests, this is very silly, any case test should be conducted with an air cooler, not an integrated water loop. a liquid cooler would keep the heat to itself and expel it - not stressing the case cooling at all. Cheers!!!

Good case and review. It would be interesting to see results with and without fans. Although, for this case, a large quantity would be needed :D

My last build was a Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 Full Tower. I read these reviews to confirm that I did make an excellent choice.
