Gigabyte has launched a couple of new QD-OLED monitors in 27- and 32-inch flavors. Although targeted primarily at the gaming crowd, these new monitors do not bear the AORUS branding.

The 27-inch variant has been dubbed the MO27Q2, and rocks a 1440p panel with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. At 109 PPI, the monitor is likely best suited for content consumption rather than creation, although the claimed 99% DCI-P3 coverage and maximum HDR brightness of 1,000 nits (3% APL) might suggest otherwise. Being an OLED, the response times are exceptionally fast, at 0.03 ms G2G.

On the other hand, the 32-inch variant goes by MO32U, and offers a 4K panel with a respectable PPI of 140, albeit with a lower refresh rate of 165 Hz. This variant is extremely well-suited for content creators as well, as it also features 99% of DCI-P3 coverage and a 1,000 nits maximum brightness (3% APL, HDR). Both the monitors also rock DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and are compatible with FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync.

As for ports, both the units feature dual HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port with DP and 18 W Power Delivery, dual USB 3.2 Type-A ports (Downstream), and a single USB 3.2 Type A port (Upstream). Ergonomics wise, both the monitors feature +15° to -15° swivel, 130 mm height adjustment, and -5° to +21° tilt along with 90° pivot capabilities. There is no word on pricing yet, but more details should be available soon.

This would have been perfect except I was looking for a 31" in 1440p, not 4K :(

Edit: nvm, they've already released my dream monitor and I wasn't aware of it. Target acquired!

Gigabyte have become my favourite Monitor vendor. I love my FV43U. I might get one of these for my daughter.

FO27Q2 dropped 80-90 in just one week. MO27Q2 is probably a cheaper stand for the same price, really.

I am looking for an 38" Ultrawide OLED, but the newer generation that will use this:

Probably, I will have to wait 5 years but until then, you folks can be the BETA testers. :)

not bearing the aorus branding, named similarly to the well known m27q... I hope this signals a trend of OLED normalization and with price reduction to show for it.

I hope, >600e is still too much for a 27" (and yeah we dont care about +150FPS, this is useless)

I've been enjoying my OLED monitor for ~3 years no issue. :peace:
I enjoy being a tech enthusiast (don't put that in my car though).
