Today we examine ARCTIC's P12 PWM PST A-RGB 120 mm fans, which offer daisy-chaining support, 12 individually addressable RGB LEDs with universal connectors, a long and linear RPM range with zero-RPM mode, long warranty, and decent performance coupled with low noise to be good value cooling solutions.

Impressively low power draw, also they are quite cheap so easy to use them in variety of places.

I've got 5 of these now between my daughter's case and 2 included with my Arctic Freezer Liquid II A-RGB....they are very good performing fans but two of the 5 have a weird issue with the RGB lighting...under some shades a single RGB seems to produce the wrong color and you end up with orange instead of yellow... or blue instead of green.. Not a deal breaker but somewhat disappointing.

I have a Lian Li air mini case with 6 ARCTIC P12 PWM PST A-RGB 120 mm fans, two more for the AIO Artic 240, and two more ARCTIC P14 PWM PST A-RGB 140 mm for the front of the case. I think it could fly if I put my mind to it ; ) I have no complaints about the sound even when playing Cyberpunk 2077. Good buy, I recommend them.

I have 10 of these in my O11 XL, running since almost 2 years in 24/7. I am using them between 600-1000RPM, they have a very good noise/cfm ratio.
Some of them already died, i think two... but Arctic immediately sent replacement for them. Great support. Cant complain.

That's representative of my experience with ARCTIC products in general. You're not likely to get something that outright doesn't work, but reasonably likely to get something that's faulty in some way. In my case, an out-of-balance P12 and a pair of F8 COs with greater-than-acceptable bearing noise (though the latter may simply be a characteristic of the design).

Yup....they can't be that cheap without some trade off...at least the 5 packs of the P12 and P14s are cheap and I'll have at least a couple of P12s on standby and one P14 in the event of a defect or failure. I do think Arctic's warranty is quite good but I've yet to really have to go through with one.

I will say though...their MX-6? Run far far away from that stuff.

Pretty high premium for LEDs when comparing to normal P12 PWM PST ones. You practically can get the 5-pack of the normal ones for the price of two RGB ones.

And still, much better price/performance, than any other RGB fan :)

I used six of these a few years ago in a build with a couple of TX-series radiators and I've been pretty pleased with the performance. The typical P12 (lack of) reliability has been an issue though and one of the fans died about a year in, necessitating the completed disassemply of the loop to replace it. :(

I've personally seen their customer service to be top-notch

I have two broken water coolers from them (Liquid Freezer 120). After I requested RMA, they sent me repair kits to fix it myself. I don't consider that top-notch service. I now have to put in my own time to fix it and refill them at my cost. I'm not surprised though. Artic's quality has dropped dramatically over the past year or so. A P12 PST fan DOA and an Alpine 23 CO cooler literary exploded from the socket (plastic bracket broke) within an hour of usage. Just because it's cheap, doesn't mean it should break.
