Aside from being smaller and lighter at 48 g than the original Harpe Ace, the Harpe Ace Mini also comes with ROG optical switches for the main buttons and ASUS's latest AimPoint sensor. Both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth are supported, with the former offering up to 105 hours of battery life.

thanks for the review.

Question: I remember back then (we're talking maybe 15/20 years ago) something to the effect of 1000hz polling was taxing on the CPU, and was deemed unnecessary at the time for gaming (against 150 or 125hz something like that), and yet we were fragging hard!

Now that I see 8000hz polling, I keep wondering if this is not counter-productive/useless/marketing. Does anyone know the answer (regarding the CPU)?

If this was $80 or less this would be a good sell. Still gotta deal with standard Armory Crate though.

EDIT: Amazon US has it on sale for $110. Still not $80 but better than $130.

To be honest, I opened the review only out of curiosity to see the price...

Actually a white mouse might be better for microbiophobics, it has to be cleaned every few days. Just joking.

but $129.99 for a USB full-speed wireless mouse is a tough sell in 2024, even for one as expertly executed as the Harpe Ace Mini.
Are we really talking about 2024?

Did Asus ever explain what are the tweaks done to differentiate AimPoint Pro from the base 3950? I heard some people raving about how it’s arguably “the best implementation”, but I am curious if there is actually any real difference.

Other than that, it’s neat that there is a Mini version, buuuuuut… maybe not for that price. Not when it goes up directly against Crazylight.

No actual details. The only thing I noticed is that on earlier firmware versions, it behaved more like what one would expect from a 3395, whereas on later ones behavior is more in line with other 3950.
