Time to Play
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is the recently released narrative-adventure game by Don't Nod, the creators of Life Is Strange. Set in the fictional Michigan town of Velvet Cove, the game follows four friends—Swann, Nora, Autumn and Kat—during the summer of 1995, as well as 27 years later in 2022.

Explore Swann's world through a nostalgic 90s lens, complete with a camcorder for capturing and reliving memories. The story unfolds across two timelines, delving into themes of friendship and identity, as well as a mysterious secret that tore the group apart. With its immersive storytelling, interactive environments and choice-driven gameplay, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage promises a captivating journey through time, nostalgia and the complexities of lifelong friendships.

This game has been performing particularly poorly for an Obsidian launch, even though Obsidian is that just in name nowadays... it's not the legendary game studio with the legendary developers it once was. I have to wonder how much the drama involving Musk and the art director on X damaged its reputation... but these numbers are very bad.

You could also look at the trend since release. There's a clear upward path.

I think it looks better than a lot of other recent RPG (type) games - far less pizazzy ping pong light show crap. Then again, it's just not the same anymore for this genre - the bar was set so high by the OGs of the past couple of decades.

I'll pick this up when the price comes down.

Anyway - sort of redundant point as the news post is about it coming onto Geforce Now.

Yeah, it's an upward trend, although it doesn't look like it'll reach the numbers an AAA needs to break even. I wonder how much fragmentation there's among platforms, the reason I brought up Steam is that afaik the way GeForce Now works, is that you buy the game on Steam and play it on their platform, unless that changed? The only cloud gaming service I actually tried was xCloud which allows you to play what you own on Xbox and the Game Pass stuff, without an additional purchase being necessary. Agree on the pricing though... I watched a few streamers on Twitch playing it the other day, looks like an interesting game.

New games on the service that you can't buy, great. Accidentally in the same time when new graphic cards are also unavailable.
