Damnit! Another CEO signature!! No one and I mean no one cares about you Lisa Su. This trend is truly upsetting. The tech industry CEOs are suffering from severe megalomania. If I were to total up all the hours and people who contributed to making Strix Halo it would be 100’s of 1000’s of hours and probably 10,000 engineers, managers, technicians, marketeers, salespersons, scientists, etc etc.

Lisa Su’s contribution is minuscule in comparison but the human ego just can’t help itself. It’s almost down to the DNA and it’s going to kill our species.

I won’t be buying any tech for as long as I can to make some difference in the fight against this celebrity religion that is getting worse each day.

That's why AMD bought ATI to create powerful Ryzen APUs (16C/32T) with unified memory for all CPU/GPU/NPU cores. However, allocating up to 96GB of memory for GPU/NPU gives unprecedented performance for large AI models. And this is just a 55W mobile system (cTDP 55-140).

Damnit! Another CEO signature!! (...)
The mighty Strix Halo is the culmination of a technology development strategy that dates back 19 years to the purchase of ATI. It is a milestone for AMD and a good moment for LisaSu to personally sign the work of the "AMD-ATI" team.

Can you tell me what Lisa Su did or any celebrity for that matter to justify my adoration over my own friends, colleagues and family? I don’t know her. I don’t know if she is a good person. I rather have my parents sign my PC. At least I know them and respect them.

No one cares about Lisa Su? Hey speak for yourself. Amd made great APU and Lisa really saved AMD from bankrupcy. Im glad she did it. We have at least competition. Look at Intel and nVidia now. What do you thing would it be, if AMD crashed? Basically you are saying, that company leadership is not important. Thats really a big BS man, come on :)

So I thank sou much Lisa! You are our hero ( and also all people, who contributed to AMD succes and who you proudly represent ). And I gladly will buy signature edition and will be proud for it.

So mister Daven, please dont "speak" for all of us.
Thank you :)

I never spoke with anyone who knows Lisa Su. What’s she like? Did she talk to you about how she saved AMD?

While I agree that the mainstream celebrity culture is toxic, this is not an example of it. Lisa Su is a scientist with a PhD from MIT. You can view her publications here.
There's one that is specifically relevant to this announcement being an implementation of her vision - Architecting the future through heterogeneous computing, from 2013.

I'm also a scientist with a PhD. I did make some scientific discoveries and contributions. I'm also a good guy. But you still shouldn't have me sign anything or consider me better than any other human.

Not really. I have to watch our species worship celebrities and the rich. It's pretty painful.

Bruh just ignore it, focus on the mini Halo Strix PC & how expensive it's going to be instead.

GMKtec, it’s time for an intervention. I need you to repeat after me: “I will not add any more highlighter green power buttons to my mini PCs. Nobody likes them, and they’re a detrimental aspect of my brand identity.”

Don't ask questions, just consume product and then get excited for next products.
Consume. Obey. Never question.

It’s the capitalist way. Now where is my Elon Musk signed Tesla. I just shaved and I need to get to the next Huang Jensen breast signing.

The 128gb framework motherboard costs 1700. Its expensive, but the bandwidth you can only have with six-channel ddr5. Its the cheapest way to have a 16 core with 256gbps, and you still have a 40 core GPU. You cant have this level of performance for cheaper (go try to buy a mac studio). Dont like the price, don't pay for it, and wait to get cheaper.

Maybe you are, but judging by your post count on TPU, you lack the most important trait to be compared to Dr. Su in any meaningful timeline. It's a dedication. You wouldn't be spitting jealousy around here, real scientists don't have time for that. She dedicated her life to this, and now she reaps what she sawed. It's called a success. This APU is a tech breakthrough, and it might shape the future of computing.
I'm also a good guy.
We need another person to confirm that. Saying that for yourself just shows how delusional you might be.
But you still shouldn't have me sign anything or consider me better than any other human.
Don't worry, we won't.
Not really. I have to watch our species worship celebrities and the rich. It's pretty painful.
She's not a celebrity, she's an engineer, and an excellent one at that. Also a true leader. She isn't chosen as the CEO by the AMD exec board by a coincidence. And let's not talk about how her CEO appointment collides with the rise of the AMD from a small stagnating company, to the one of the most important tech companies in the world.

I'm not into idolizing anyone, because all people have their strengths and weaknesses, but I just can't but love this woman. She leaves an impression of a true hero. Even if she wears a letter jacket (they're cousins after all), this lady deserves all the respect she can get. And I'm proud of her achievements, because they benefited all of us so far, and will probably continue to do so.

Lisa Su is primarily an engineer, neither a manager nor a marketer, but a pure engineer - in the position of CEO. Lisa has many years of experience in semiconductors. She worked at Texas Instruments, IBM and Freescale Semiconductor in engineering and management positions. She joined AMD in 2012 and took over the leadership in 2014 at a critical moment in the company's history. In 2012, AMD completed the development of the x86 modular architecture and, in difficult financial conditions, began 5 years of work on the first x86 ZEN. They put everything on one card, it was the last chance for AMD and under the leadership of Lisa Su it worked! The previous acquisition of ATi was risky, but it was ATi's GPU division that financially supported the x86 section during the long work on the first ZEN. The long-term strategy turned out to be right. AMD regained share and respect in the strategically key x86 server sector, and later ZEN became the first x86 architecture in AMD's history to win a government contract for the military during the first Donald Trump administration. Yes, Donald Trump is an AMD fan ;)
