hi
i have a pc with i5 7400 16gb ddr 4 ram and 1050 gtx card and power supply is 350 watt. actually it the asus g11cd-k pc minus the case.
the case that it in is old hp 520n and how the psu is mount if it has a fan is upward. but the current psu has one small fan so it good.
i was thinking about upgrading. h610 motherboard and 12600k and 3050 6gb card but i didn't know if the power supply could work.
i use that power supply calculator and added in the parts and turn out it was 349 watts. i wondering dose that also calculate overclocking or is that base power wattage. https://www.newegg.ca/asus-g11cd-bs51-gtx1050-cb/p/N82E16883221557. pc

A stock 12600K consumes about 140 W under heavy load.
The PSU that comes with the Asus prebuilt is only rated for 228 W on the important 12V rail. 360 W is a peak rating, and the total is 300 W:

Deceptive labeling aside, I would not trust a Bronze rated PSU of such vintage to run a modern gaming PC.
Also, the RTX3050 is a very poor choice if you have gaming in mind.

Buy a new PSU while you're at it, any semi-decent 450-500w would be better than that thing you have in your current system, if you can't afford to spend another $40-50 then wait and save, 228w +12v as mentioned above is paltry and should be thrown in the bin for anything other than your current components IMO

I agree, get a PSU first. Then get a motherboard and CPU, then a GPU. The RTX 3050 is technically an upgrade but money wise it is a waste, a 4060 or 4060ti or a RX 7600 would be a way better use of resources.

The 3050 already struggled to play modern games at 1080p, I wouldnt count on it having a very long lifespan. If you want to continue with your current PSU, you're going to have to limit yourself to T series or lower clocked non K parts, or something more efficient like the ryzen 7000 non x3d parts, or the lower end 5000 series.
