After the success of the old "BH-5" PC3500 LVL2, Mushkin tries to continue the success story with the new Redline XP4000. They select the best Winbond UTT CH-5 and use them on these modules to have a big clearance above the specifications. The modules offer 250 MHz with tightest timings of 2-2-2, but require active cooling. We test these sticks at up to 3.5V and see how far they go.

Nice Review...

Hmmmm 250 2-2-2-5 @ 3.1V that's nice for sure...the OCZ VX often need 3.3V to reach that performance...
But I got a question nonetheless...
Is it really necessary to actively cool them @ 3.1V already? Most people start to cool if they want to go higher than 3.2V-3.3V...

first thank you. mushkin says active cooling is required so... i think with 3.0 3.1v you don't need cooling... airflow is enough i think.

maybe we get some ocz vx 4000 to test :)

Nice review, thats some sweet ram. Hows the best way to mount a cooling fan in this case?
