Sapphire has a small suite in which they have some real nice new releases to take a look at for example an AGP based HD3850. This means that even users of the aging AGP platform can enjoy the benefits of DirectX 10 titles on their system.

It looks like that AGP card requires an 8-pin PCI-e power connector... Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, please.

It's a six pin.

I wonder what the temps on the single slots 3870's will be like. I would think they would very close to the 3850's at around 70 degrees Celsius under load.

I don't think so, look at the back of the PCB, there's EIGHT :eek:

the agp card has an 8 pin power connector. i'll ask sapphire if it must be 8 pin or works with 6 as well

Seems like Sapphire is getting on the ball. I love that motherboard idea. Looks fantastic. Also that new vaporchamber card looks like something Id be pretty much interested in snagging up

Eight pin power connector? :wtf:

Most AGP board users would not even have a PSU with PCI-E power connectors. So if a Molex-to-PCIe power adapter cable is used, how many male Molex connector inputs will it have? 3?

No wait...look at the connector, not its solder points:

It is 6-pin so no big gripe there.

that's the pci-e version. look again at the agp one.

probably two, the last two pins are just grounds.
