From everything I've seen it's exclusively zen 2 architecture chips that are vulnerable, which should rule out my 5800X3D being Zen 3 based, but I keep seeing mention of some 5000 series being affected too. Are these just a few APUs still using Zen 2 or is it wider than this? I'd rather avoid a bios update given my current version is stable on my machine

Mobile Lucienne family is 5000 series, a Renoir rebrand making it Zen 2 + Vega iGPU. 5300U/5500U/5700U.

Mobile Mendocino family is 7020 series, combines Zen 2 + 610M RDNA2 iGPU. 7320U/7520U.

There aren't any desktop CPUs that satisfy the Zen 2 requirement other than 3000 Matisse and 4000 Renoir. 5800X3D is Zen 3, as are 5600G and 5700G.

Cezanne is safe (desktop ryzen 5000 with radeon graphics) as its a Zen 3 core, sadly seems to be some misinformation out there at the moment.

Articles should be researching what cores are in what SKU's before naming affected SKU's in my opinion.

Vermeer is also fine, which is what your chip is.

The actual accurate source is here.

However I found more done a dozen articles on the internet which say "5000 Series with Radeon Graphics" instead of "AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Mobile Processors with Radeon Graphics Lucienne
