ATI decided to change DMS connector on new CrossFire graphic boards. They split it to two connectors - one for CrossFire data exchange, second for normal DVI operation. No more information available for the moment.

Yep most probably does because they did say that from X1K series onwards they will support above 1600x1200 res in crossfire reason being X850 and below can't do that is due to missing circuitry or something.
