It was the beginning of July when the first Elixir keyboard from OCZ saw daylight and not long after that rumours about a second version of it started spreading. Now these rumours have been confirmed by our collegues from Fudzilla. A second keyboard named Elixir II is indeed going to be released sometime before Christmas. It will have a slim design with blue painted border lines and rubberized coated "SoftTouch" keys with a lifespan of 5 million cycles. OCZ Elixir II will weight around 600g (1.35lbs) and have only three extra keys - Internet, Email and System Power-down - in contrast to the original OCZ Elixir which has 10 tri-mode programmable macro keys. According to Fudzilla the keyboard will cost around €20-€30 and maybe even cheaper when released.

Looks very nice. But the apple alu keyboard (that I use on my PC) still looks better. I find neon and neon-effect colouring rather naff.

What's the difference between this and one from the £2.99 keyboard from ebuyer or whatever. I mean it looks so plane and boring, They should sell for about £10 imo. For example my g15 rev one cost £50 and it comes with a fricken screen and the G keys that allow for 54 different functions, did I say it came with a fricken screen :twitch: :toast:

Yes they should do a LCD one :p. G15 looks nasty to me bulky and those keys on the left are in a nast place for me as i use a Fang + a keyboard at the same time. Personal preference though.

I need to fit a mouse, joystick, Fang and keyboard and have them all available for use in a second as i can using any of them during a game.

I love the blue accents and the slimmed down version, but I wish it was more ergonomic...

I need a new keyboard and if this is priced right I may get it, a nice cheap simple soft keyed board is what I want, and by appearances this may be it.
