BFG Technologies, the leading North American and European supplier of advanced NVIDIA-based 3D graphics cards, power supplies and other PC enthusiast products, announced today the BFG GeForce GTX 260 MAXCORE graphics cards in three factory overclocked versions; OC, OC2, and OCX. BFG's GeForce GTX 260 MAXCORE graphics cards boast 216 processing cores-24 more cores than a standard GeForce GTX 260. This extra processing power combined with BFG's rock-solid factory overclocking provides end users with enthusiast-class performance and the protection of a lifetime warranty.

"Of course, these cards are great for 3D gaming. But the GeForce GTX 260 MAXCORE is also built for high performance physics and parallel computing", said John Malley, senior director of marketing for BFG Technologies. "With native support for PhysX technology, the GeForce GTX 260 MAXCORE acts as an immensely powerful physics processor, greatly accelerating performance in popular titles like Unreal Tournament 3. And with CUDA technology, time consuming tasks such as video transcoding are dramatically accelerated, offering faster than real time performance. We believe physics and GPU computing will become indispensable in the coming year; GPUs limited to only graphics capability will become increasingly unattractive to end users. With the BFG GeForce GTX 260 MAXCORE you get it all-factory overclocked 3D graphics cards with a lifetime warranty, plus a revolutionary physics and computing processor".

Its not 55nm. Its the same 65nm chip just with an extra unlocked cluster of SP's.
