Dear community,
Far from expert regarding Hardware problems I want to address the following question.
Starting yesterday while playing Fallout New Vegas I encountered a number of system crashes and various graphical "anomalies". (two to three weeks before everything went fine).
As I'm using the second 8800 Ultra OC - the first one had similar problems during the guarantee phase - I tried the ATITool and today the Furmark-tool to discover any problems.
Both tools crashed after seconds, causing the computer to restart.
Today I managed to get some output from the ATItool - a photography is attached, as print screen or else didn't work.
The error message states: Delta of 6717742 in 52736 pixels (127.38 avg). Nor errors for ...
Giving me a real bad feeling regarding the graphics card. The yellow artifacts don't make that feeling better. Additionally I encounter blue dots and lines from time to time (the last time after the bios screen).
My last hope is that the driver update last week got something to do with it but I'm prepared to pay my local dealer a visit.
Thank you very much for any help! Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful.
Best regards
Rochus
