9070 XT on Gen 4 vs. Gen 5

So I was fortunate enough to get a Powercolor Hellhound 9070 XT card. Plugged it in and got a straight >50% increase on 1440p performance from my old 3070. Yay! Then I ran GPU-Z and noticed it was on Gen 4 PCIE. Switched over from Auto to Gen 5 and got even better increase but only in "raytracing" apparently? Because my Time Spy Extreme results are identical, but my Speed Way results got a 10% boost?? Anyone else noticing difference here?
