As the title suggests, I'm in the process of flashing my BIOS. I have this 9070 XT.

I have acquired a BIOS file from this card: XFX Merc 9070 XT

The only difference is the power limit so this should be fine.

If anyone has the BIOS for THIS CARD and is ready to share it, I'll buy you a beer! :toast:

AMDVBFlash doesn't support 9000 series and returns an error. Is there an alternative?

@eidairaman1 , I opened a thread and I didn't ask directly, thanks! :roll:

I hardly come on here due to toxicity of the overall page now.

Can you go into gpu-z and get a screenshot of the General tab and then go to the Advanced Tab and select AMD Bios from the drop down menu, also a white Sticker pic of your particular cards model number from your card's box or the card itself.

I have the right BIOS and I know what to do. I just need a way to flash the card. AMDVB tool doesn't work on 9000 series and I don't have a hardware flasher

Here ya go!

Ok thank you i will dig and see, it will be a hardware programmer being your best bet. @VuurVOS recalls which one to get, maybe flashkat.

From what i take your specific model number is this one (its on the box) and yes there are different boost clocks depending on which one you have.

1002 7550 1EAE 8811 is used on 2 Cards. 1 Swift and 1 Mercury

What I see according to the info you provided, this is your stock bios below.

Which basically is your PCB Part #
GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x7550
113-EXT108832-100Navi48 XTX G29201 16GB

This is the Mercury Bios:

GPU Device Id: 0x1002 0x7550
113-EXT108828-100Navi48 XTX G29502

This bios is the same as the Mercury:

The part numbers are similar in sequence, just tread carefully and back your original bios up.

There is the swift white but part number sequence is far off.

Since these cards only just came out this year, not many have come on here and done bios dumps for the RX9000 line even as there are no unverified bios to have for XFX.

My point is there really isnt any established info to flash these yet like there is for a RX 500/VEGA/5000/6000/7000.

Thank you for your time!

The only reason for this mod is to get increased power limits. My card has a stock power limit of 304W, but they can go as high as 360W. It's free performance (with a bit of risk)

Yeah if it works

Yeah if it works
I mean, god damn it, if they were able to flash 9070XT bios on a 9070... This should be a piece of cake.
Same manufacturer, same memory, only increased power limit :D
We just need a new version of AMDVB flash

Just one tip. Dont buy the CH341A Black PCB version. Buy version 1.7!
What is wrong with the black PCB version? I just bought a kit yesterday.

Edit: just read through reddit, and the black PCB version is fine, most have a manual or auto switch between 3.3V and 5V, but you want to use a multimeter just to confirm.
Choosing a CH341A programmer
Some people say even with 5V they haven't killed a chip yet.

No it isn't. It has a hardware FLAW and put 5V when on the data lines while it is on 3.3V mode.

I would suggest you reach out to the developer of it and maybe W1zzard
