A Question about FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000W PSU

I will consider buying this PSU because it currently has a better price/performance.
However, the review about their sibling platinum version seems to have a value of "ordinary". TPU reviewed back in 2020:

Cultists Network PSU Tier List: Both the Hydro Ti Pro and the Hydro PTM Pro 1000W are on Tier A. They are excellent units.

I've used several in builds, and I own one each of the 850w and 1000w. Solid power supply. Nice thick cables. Proper fan and power switch. Runs cool while pulling a 50/60 percent load. I'd say you can't go wrong.

What do you think about the first-gen that uses a 12VHPWR connector and the second-gen that uses a 12V-(2X6) connector?
What are the main differences and drawbacks of the first generation?
I don't understand about that.

The first gen connector has a slightly higher risk of damage to the cable/card on the 12VHPWR due to a poor user insertion. The second gen connector corrects any chance of that issue happening. If you plug it in solid, either is good IMO, but second gen is obviously more desirable.

I don't use the 12vhpwr since I have amd cards, but I have used it on another build, and it worked just fine with a 4080 super. Plug your cables in properly, and I doubt it will be an issue.

that had more to do with the unit's ATX spec at the time and the PSU cost not its build and performance quality. For a cheaper price it would have been an excellent value. FSP has been manufacturing PSU for themselves and other brands for a long time, they are more than capable of building excellent units when given the opportunity
