Acer Aspire 5741G uses Intel latest Calpella structure.
CPU is Intel Core i3-330M. The clock is 133 X 16 => 2.13GHz, L3 3MB, dual core and supports HT technology.
The chipset is HM55. Comparing to GM45, I believe the performance will be much better.

Performance test
OS is Windows7 Ultimate 64Bit
Hardware info in Device Manager

Windows7 system performance

CPU performance test
Super PI 32M => 33m 49.943s
CPUMARK99 => 327

Using high performance MLC SSD-CORSAIR F60 to test

Size is 2.5” and ID is F60. The highest performance is 285/275 MB/s.
Random 4K writing performance can reach 50000 IOPS which improve the 4K writing issue in past SSD.

Nice review mate, its a good little machine.

I'm currently running a very similar laptop with an i5 540M (2.53ghz + Turbo), and otherwise almost identical specs, including the mobility 5650, however mine uses DDR3 not GDDR3.

If you actully own this laptop and want to get a more gaming perforamnce out of her, I highly suggest updating to mobility 10.10 drivers, and looking into a mild OC on that 5650. stock clocks on mine are the same as yours, 550/800, the Mobility 5730 is identical except the core clock is 650, which you should easily reach. My good amte bought the same as mine and is very happy with a 100mhz core OC. Mine is rock stable at 700/950 which boosts perf by about 15-20% on average.

I'm totally jealous of the SSD in yours, that looks sweet as. I an considering the seagate barracuda XT hybrid SSD/HDD for mine because of my need for 300+ gb's of storage.

Also if you find a way to overclock the CPU in it (if your'e into that) I'd love to know how you did it, all my attempts have failed.

Again, great review, thanks mate :toast:
