Recently bought a second hand Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-503P with i5 12500h + 4050. Repasted and cleaned the laptop with HY510. (I dont have access to PTM7950 right now but i will consider getting it somehow.)

I'll attach a log from a cpu intensive game session- even though it was short laptop got a point where my 4050 gpu shut down- i think. Because i use a hdmi to use external monitor and it stopped working and when i checked device manager i didnt see my gpu on the list. Rebooted- it see it now working fine. By the way even though i ramp up the fans to be max i dont see major decrease to temps on load.

Here is a log from throttlestop. I did not enable or change any settings yet without asking you guys.

I also have high cpu temps on boot. No apps oppened still have like 60-65 cpu temp. I might consider re-installing a cleaner windows edition because this comes with lots of acer bloatware inside. What would you guys suggest? I also have a cooler pad.

Acer uses a low ball 92°C thermal throttling temperature instead of the Intel recommended value which is 100°C. This combined with poor cooling is causing your laptop to constantly thermal throttle when power consumption is only 30 Watts. There is no easy way to fix poor design. Using Honeywell PTM 7950 might help. Getting rid of any useless background tasks can also help. None of this will fix the problem if the heatsink and fan that Acer chose to use are not big enough to cool your CPU when playing games.

The Nvidia GPU crashing is a separate problem. You can try using different Nvidia GPU drivers. If there is a physical problem with the Nvidia GPU then you will not be able to use your laptop for playing games.

Thanks for replying sir. I am more concerned about the crash right now. I installed a fresh windows and trying the same game again. It does crash and now i am getting a blue screen with "Video DXGKRNL Fatal Error". I'll try acer's nvidia drivers. Also i see my gpu going up to 85-87 while playing the same game. Would that cause the bsod? cpu seems to be at 91-92.

Acer setting the CPU thermal throttling temperature to 92°C means the CPU temperature will increase until it reaches 92°C. After that it will slow down as much as necessary so it does not exceed 92°C. CPU thermal throttling is working as Acer intended.

High Nvidia GPU temperatures can cause a Nvidia GPU to randomly crash. Intel CPUs seem to run more reliably at high temperatures compared to when Nvidia GPUs are running at similar temperatures.

Can I somehow undervolt/underclock or do something about my gpu's heat?

I do not know if your Nvidia GPU is locked down or what programs might be able to access these GPU settings. You will have to do some Google searching.
Thanks a lot. I maxed out my laptops fans and coolers pad, yet to see a bsod now so it could be really related to heat.
