Hi,after my recent Bios Update with Qflash my system wont boot anymore,i hear 1 beep and the fans are spinning but its not booting up.
Is there anyway to save my motherboard ?I cleared the cmos,i removed the battery,i tried to press the reset+powerbutton at the same time but nothing did help.
I made many bios updates in the past but this one failed.

This is the mainboard:https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/X470-AORUS-ULTRA-GAMING-rev-10#kf

And here is a video:

:cry::cry:

Did you make sure your CSM or UEFI was reenabled or otherwise set correctly? Most settings reset after a flash.

if you can’t see the bios at all even POST then you should try and recovery flash if your board supports any kind of flashback.

it could also be board display out if you have an igp but I’m on my phone and can’t check your specs. If you do have an igp attempt to plug into the board, it’s a long shot as most will auto sense the primary PCI-E slot.

Ok i solved the first problem with the screen i changed from displayport to HDMI and i get a screen right now but i stuck on the boot menu and even if i press any of the buttons nothing happens.I need to mention that this is an am4 board and i upgraded from the 2700x to the 5900x and now it maybe switched back to the old bios without the new cpu support. Is there a still a way to flash the bios even with the new cpu inside.

q-flash will do it if you have the new BIOS on a USB.

Try to make sure the keyboard is plugged into an older usb port. Dont plug it into the red/blue/yellow/circled USB 3 ports. See if you have one labled 2.0 or look up your board to find which ones you can use.

EDIT:: looks like you do
  1. 8 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (4 ports on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)

If it IS a CPU issue it may not work though. If post is freezing. You may need to find a way to do flash back if your board supports it. Otherwise you will need to swap in the OLD CPU and flash appropriately.

Especially because this:

and now it maybe switched back to the old bios without the new cpu support

Is not something that just happens.

Damn,i tried all usb ports looks like i have to order an old am4 cpu from ebay.
Hi, i think i have encountered your problem. Try to boot with one memory stick installed, it may be enough to get you in the OS (windows i hope)
Then look on your mainboards website und support for the "utilities". In there you should find the "EC FW update tool"
You need that to make you memory work properly again with Zen 2 and Zen 3 CPUs.
I had the same issue on my Gigabyte B350 board.

Did you read all the instructions for the bios updates? There is a bridge bios needed. And that bridge bios even mentions the EC firmware update tool.

Hello everyone.
I have the same problem with the same motherboard.
After the BIOS update to version F64e
The PC was restarted and continues to hang at the Aorus logo on the mainboard's start screen.
All experiments always end with the same result.
I therefore suspect an error in the manufacturer's BIOS itself.
Another owner of the same motherboard with the same error after the BIOS update sold his board on Ebay as defective.
Please contact Gigabyte customer service.

Your motherboard has dual bios, there should be a switch or jumper somewhere for you to select which one to boot from. Then you can use the 2700X.
However, upgrading from Zen+ to Zen3 on B450/X470 should include at least one MANDATORY version along the way - F31 (possibly F40 too), and also the must to upgrade the chipset drivers. (I've done the same to my X470 Aorus Gaming 7 when going from a 2700 to my current 5600X, just haven't updated to the latest and newest bios yet).

Dual Bios kicked in, that's why you're suddenly on an old bios. Follow what I said above, using the 2700X and only after flashing at least F60 you slot the 5900X in.

1. Use the flashback with the latest BIOS , it should work with and without the CPU inside
2. Use only one stick of RAM
3. Remove the BIOS battery (then put it back in) the be sure your bios boots with the default settings.

I have this MB and 2700x. It has Software dual bios with no physical switch.

Pressing power button for 10 sec should load teh secondary Bios. It has never worked for me though.

When you update the bios you have the option to overwrite both of them. Ofc this remove the protection given by a working back up Bios in case anything goes wrong.

Intriguing. Mine (Gaming 7) has a toggleable physical switch. But I know it was their X470 flagship.

Also intriguing. I don't remember mine having the option to overwrite both. I may be only recalling wrong, though.

Hello,

@Beinverrenkmenk did you update your bios from f2 to a newer one and is it working now with your newer CPU?
I need the ryzen 5 1600 then as well...
