Hello everyone,
My laptop is HP Omen 17t. (Product number: X9Z34EA#AB8)

Every sound on my computer goes through voice chat, or get recorded by the voice recorder only when the audio in jack is used, when a microphone is plugged.
My headset is steelseries Arctis 1 Wired, it comes with a seperator for audio in and out.
  • I tried with different seperator
  • Used an iPhone headphone and clip mic
  • Disabled stereo mix
  • Reinstalled Realtek Audio drivers
  • Uninstalled Realtek Audio drivers
  • Uninstalled latest version of Realtek Drivers and installed previous versions (the audio in jack (microphone jack) stopped working when I did that)
  • Uninstalled all the sound drivers and installed Realtek DCH Modded Audio Driver. (Driver shows as High Definition Audio Driver - Microsoft on Sound settings.)
    • The volume of the speakers significantly decreased when I do that. It's what currently installed. The speaker volume is too low.
  • Installed fresh Windows using built-in options.
  • Reinstalled Nvidia Drivers.
  • Updated BIOS
When I mute my mic using the switch on the headset, computer sounds still goes through, so it's not feedback from the mic. But also I noticed when I record myself, mute my mic and yell at it, I can still hear my sound very distantly. So mute mic switch does not completely mutes it.

I still have the same issue, every single sound on my computer, videos, music, game, anything goes directly to the otherside or gets recorded.
I tried to use Realtek Audio Device Tweak but I can't figure it out.
I need help. I am going crazy.

Edit: This is getting weird and weird. I downloaded and installed latest version of audio drivers. I normally don't have Realtek HD Audio Manager, Bang & Olufsen Audio Control takes it place on my pc. Now when I click audio control at HP audio switch, Realtek HD Audio Manager opens but, speaker sound is still very very low and I can't connect headset. Computer just does not recognize it. I get a notification for headphone jack connected, not for microphone. But still sound does not comes through headset.

I'm confused. Are you saying you don't get any audio output into your headset? Or just that your mic transmits audio output even though your mic is muted? I've occasionally had the latter happen to me. I use Philips SHP9500s with a V-Moda BoomPro, which is split into separate mic and headphone jacks. I use a splitter to connect them both to the single 3.5mm jack on my DAC. Sometimes if I have my mic muted my friends can still hear my music playing.

That sounds like the switch is not cutting the circuit but instead reduces the volume, a mic cant record if it has no power.
For the headphones, have you tried disabling detection and enable separate stream (separate device)?

Are you responding to me or the OP?
